Officially founded in 2021 by Clayton Mooty, Mooty Fabrication has come a long way from its beginnings in Orlando, FL. When Clayton Mooty first started out, his passion for metal fabrication drove him to start as an apprentice in 2005 at a local sheet metal shop by the name of Doudney Sheet Metal where he eventually became one of the lead fabricators. He worked for clients such as Disney's Imagineers, Universal Studios, Lockheed Martin, Full Sail University, and many high end custom home builders.

He then relocated to Greensboro, NC to work for Honda Aircraft Company in the R&D Fabrication Department tasked with responsibilities including but not limited to D17.1 aircraft welding, D1.1 structural welding, CNC router table programing and running, CNC tube bending utilizing FARO inspection equipment, CNC press brake operation, and even structural work on the aircrafts themselves.  This eventually gave him the drive to turn hard work and inspiration into his own business.
